EMI Calculator – Calculate Your Loan EMI Online

An EMI (Equated Monthly Instalment) is the fixed amount you pay every month to repay a loan. Use the CibilBazaar EMI Calculator to estimate your monthly EMI, total interest and total repayment for a personal loan, home loan, car loan or any other loan before you apply.

Enter the loan amount, interest rate and loan tenure, and the calculator shows your EMI instantly. You can view the repayment monthly or yearly, and download or share the result.

What Is an EMI?

An EMI is the fixed monthly payment that covers both the interest and a part of the principal of your loan. In the early months a larger share of each EMI goes towards interest, and over time the principal share increases.

EMI = [P × r × (1 + r)^n] ÷ [(1 + r)^n − 1], where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the number of monthly instalments.

Factors That Affect Your EMI

Loan Amount

A higher loan amount increases your EMI, while a lower amount reduces it.

Interest Rate

Even a small change in the interest rate can noticeably change your EMI and total interest, especially over a long tenure.

Loan Tenure

A longer tenure lowers the EMI but increases the total interest paid. A shorter tenure does the opposite.
